Does the job require relocation?
What sort of budget is allocated for advertising and promotions?

This is actually a perfect position for me. Unfortunately, I lack the adult board superstardom that is usually required for positions such as this.

yeah, i know what you mean. my girlfriend has worked with carbon in the past, and i think she'd be interested/good for this position, but she doesn't have the experience required.

Do NOT be fooled.

Board Whoring is NOT all Marketing is about. It's such a small part of the whole picture.

Read the job description. If you have the qualifications, then go for it.

The biggest part of this business is that people have to like you. If they don't like you, you can give them the world for free and they will say that you are going to do business, but it will NEVER happen.
That's the best advice I can give anyone getting in this business on a Marketing level.

Haha, I thought it's pretty obvious that board whoring is not marketing. It's just board whoring :thumbsup

D-Money 08-31-2004 08:59 AM

carbon

email my brother at KB at pornstar.com
he can help you make a lot of money.

This is what he does!

Rochard 08-31-2004 09:12 AM

It's nice to see someone who can write a help wanted ad. From what you've written I can see that you are business minded and very serious.

With the above said you'll do well.

Your best advice sucks. Many people hate Pimpdog, BradShaw, Serge Oprano, etc. yet they all seem to be doing quite well in the business.

Publicity, a strong brand and a solid reputation are the most important things in the industry. :2 cents:
