If you don't have any hairs like you do your sperms normally aren't that active :winkwink:

The pills often lead to mood swings and stuff like that.

Birth control pills are a hormonal supliment taken in small doses over a three week period to counteract many of the problems that can result, before/during/after a period.. Some women take them for consistancy, others take them to reduce the pain of cramps, they are good at reducing some forms of PMS, and the well known use for birth control. Note the pills are prescribed for all but usually only affect one to two of the mentioned problems.

Yes you will gain some weight from birth control pills because they are a hormonal additive to the body which is already producing estrogene. Depending souly on the individual will decide how much and were the weight will go. Breat size has been known to increase but mostly only in fullness and not total cup size, basically we get alittle firmer. (I stayed a C cup but I perked up more) Others get a nice big ass, don't we all love that.

Hope that helps you guys out in understanding one of the many mysteries of the human female.

MandyBlake 08-28-2004 09:09 PM

You want a fucked up side effect?
I'm taking a NO-ESTROGEN birth control pill and it caused me to get my period every 2 weeks. Fun stuff huh?

bad_girl 08-28-2004 09:12 PM

Hey I am on the pill - how come I never gained 20 lbs in my boobage.

On the plus side I have a better complexion and I actually maintained the same weight.

Something else you might not know about birth control pills: You can skip the placebo and continue the cycle of pills and you will skip your period. Doctors originally formulated the pill to have a three week cycle because they thought women wouldnt accept missing a period. Its great because you can avoid getting your period on a vacation, etc or if you just don't want to get one! ;)

That's right! My doctor suggested this to me, but I thought it was too complicated. I figured I'd screw it up. And my birth control is one thing I don't care to screw up.

MissEve 08-28-2004 09:17 PM

I have a theory about weight gain and the pill. Aside from a few pounds I think most women gain weight on the pill because usually they are in a stable relationship and are eating out and/or cooking more, spending more time with their boyfriend etc instead of dieting/working out to find a boyfriend!

Holly 08-28-2004 09:19 PM

I took birth control pills a couple of times and didn't notice any difference, esp in the boob department. But since I'm too retarded to remember to take a pill every day, I tried those Depo shots and it was the worst experience of my life. I know females who love them and think they're the best thing ever, but I had major problems.

You only get one every three months, but during that time I: bled every single day and was anemic, had horrible headaches, gained 10 pounds, cried almost every day and would have no clue why- I would just start boo hooing, called off my engagement, broke up with my ex all together, told my mother I hated her, and stopped speaking to one of my best friends for over a month. After the shot wore off and things went back to normal, everything was fine. It was like the exorcist for a while, though.

Mandy, you should totally do it! Its super easy, just skip the sugar pills! Its SOOOOOOOOO nice to know you arent going to feel shitty, moody, crampy etc. I usually let myself get 3-4 periods a year.

You won't screw it up. Just take them like normal and when it gets to those different colored "off" pills, just chunk them and start a new pack. In other words, take a birth control pill every single day. After three or four months you'll either start bleeding on your own, or you can just take the fake pills for a week to let yourself have your period, and then start taking the bc pills again every single day for 3 or 4 more months.

There's absolutely no reason for you to have more than 3 or 4 periods a year. It's actually much healthier for you *not* to have periods.

My doctor suggested that this only be used when you really need to, otherwise it can totally screw up your hormones.

The BTC pill is also beneficial for women to help prevent against osteoporosis if you're not generating the right amount of hormones.

And yes, if you take anti-biotics (in general) the birth control pill is not going to be effective as a contraceptive. You should really check with your doctor whenever you go on ANY other kind of medication, cos it's not just anti-biotics that can have a 'neutralising' effect.

TurboAngel 08-30-2004 09:40 AM

I can't take them. I did when I was young and I had PMS so bad that I had to stop.

You shouldn't smoke if you're on them.

Yes .. most guys (and some girls) dont know this .. and St. John's Wort (over the counter anti depressant) can also reduce the effectiveness of BC (another one girls dont realize)

.. as for the boobs .. depends on the girl, depends on the pill .. My boobs got bigger, but I also gained weight .. so the weight gain could've been what increased my boobs :) Luckily when I lost the weight and went off the pills the boobs stayed.

they are not safe...it is so easy for a girl to just stop taking them and you dont even know about it.

then you wonder why she keeps asking you to stay in side her when you shoot.....scary stufff man...wrap it up if you dont want to stick with your girl.

Wow, that's pretty extreme.

Speaking of extreme, I had an ex who would seemed to get extreme PMS in the week leading up to her next shot. She was fine for most of it, but those final days were pure hell... 3 months quota of PMS rolled into one week!

All my pills are one color; since they have no estrogen in them. Plus I get mine every 2 weeks anyway, so I wouldn't know when to skip a week lol.

jade_dragon 08-30-2004 11:00 AM

After about 2 years of their hormonal level going up and down some women start to experience side effects such as slight depression. There is a new insertable ring that keeps the estragen level in the body constant which is supposed to control the side effects of hormonal peaks and balance.

So think back to when you were younger and your girl got on the pill areound 17-18 and how she seemed to not be the same level headed and accepting girl about 2 years later. Some of it was your bullshit but the rest was her hormones making her irritable. My friends switched to the ring and they said they are not as easily upset and more in control of sadness/emotionality than they were on pills, more in control and like their old selves.
