Sp2 ... a reason why your comp might crash

Install your motherboard drivers AFTER you install Sp2 ... that's waht I got told by a guy who installed it on 100 new machines

(That's when you do a new format)

i have yet to see something good from sp2 :)

even microsoft software isn't compatible with xp2

like microsoft broadband networking

you would think they might have thought about things like that.

It seems like microsoft's idea of security is to warn you over and over again. But never help you in any way.

Notice they changed some things with how the networking works.

And the networking icons are changed..

They took out some valuable features like the view-source command from the address bar in i.e.. I cant think of any reason for taking that out.

Its like the win98 to winxp "search" feature for windows that was upgraded to make it twice as complicated and they put a little picture of a dog sniffing its ass on there to boot.

Yeah, I was worried too. But so far it's extremely stable.

I think microsoft has just rushed out another product. if they would of done more testing it wouldnt of been that bad.

I've had SP2 installed for the last 3 days and I didn't have 1 single problem.... not one!

I agree too about the search ... it really sucked .

I love Service Pack 2. My comp feels almost twice as fast, and I love the pop-up stopper in internet explorer as well as the more secure Active-X controls, aka it wont let random websites ask to install shit.

Don't get me wrong on this, but htf you can install MB drivers without OS???
I mean you said after format install first SP2 then drivers... So, I will repeat my question again... If you format partition, you can't install anything without OS... So, You must install first XP (or SP1, or SP2), then MB drivers...
However, I made upgrade from SP1 to SP2 without any problems...

Don't know what you are talking about, but "right click and view source" works. Also, from tabs -> VIEW - Source, works as well...
