Serious Question: What is your native language?
.... and would you ever be willing to answer questions about it (via email/phone) from people who do research in it? This is for a mainstream project I am working on.
I'm interested in knowing how linguistically diverse GFY is. I'll be bumping this thread periodically. Again, languages that you speak fluently (i.e., natively). A lot of Europeans are multilingual. If you are truly multilingual, list all your languages. |

English & Italian. Learned Italian as my first language. Mom sat me in front of Sesame Street daily when I was a kid and I learned English that way and was fluent in both English & Italian by 3-4.
I've never taken an Italian class though so I don't know how to read and write it. I've visited there at least 5+ times and still speak Italian with my family. So I'm still very fluent. So "technically" I learned Italian first, but I consider English my primary and most fluent language. (FYI: Born and raised in the U.S.) |

Are there any African born webmasters on GFY? There are some very cool languages in that part of the world.
|
English only because I'm a "stupid" American.
|
Please only list the languages you speak which you were never formally taught. i.e., the ones you picked up as a kid.
