A Surfer's Experience of Epic Cash
 

Hey everybody, I thought you would be interested to read this excerpt from an angry letter I got from a surfer at one of my sites who followed one of my links to Epic Cash's Brutal Spankings website:

I'm not too concerned about the cross sells -- although that's an inventive way of getting several bites at the apple -- but the inability to cancel sounds pretty 1998. All I can figure is, maybe they tried to cancel so fast their info wasn't in the member database yet?

I did try to help this surfer by putting them in touch with Epic Cash (webmaster support email, since I was asking for help) but the response was to tell the surfer to visit billingsupport.net -- which apparently is where the cancel page that doesn't work resides. So not a very helpful response, although it was lightning fast and very friendly. Props to Corey for the prompt and courteous effort.

Not trying to stir up trouble or drama. I just thought some here would be interested in how the customers feel.

you are full of shit.. and he is an idiot. we use paycom along with 100 of other sites and programs. we do nothing tricky to the customer. what was the point of this? goto any program that processes with paycom that offers cross sales. its the same fukin thing moron.

This error is being looked into.. Its something that will be addressed with our programmer and myself, we like to retain members just like anyone else.. I've been told by alot of people our members areas are very nice.. So I gotta believe that...

I don't understand this different on the internet than in real life. That's bullshit. This board is full of real people. I think an argument could easily be made that Trey lacks the confidence to act the same in person, not because it's a fake personality, but rather because he finds courage in the monitor.

I can think of plenty of programs with a presence on this board that don't need to act like jackasses to get attention. I'd be willing to bet that he manages to generate as much disinterest in his company as he does interest.

Member zone is far from being the best but sites do sell.

Regardless of if they're sending you exits or not, it does nothing to negate my claim.

Not that it matters, but Pattyecake wanted me to send my exits to you, and I considered it until Trey decided he had to open his mouth again . . .and I was not going to risk losing any affiliates because he alienated them.

Wow, there are many deluded people in here. Reguarding liking pimpdog and not sending him traffic if you dont like him: this is rediculous. many people dont like bill gates but they still buy his products. it is the same situation. the fact of the matter is that epic cash makes a lot of people a lot of money.

Second getting on topic of this thread, a Surfer complaint. OK, now i have been in this industry for a long time and i have seen millions of surfer complaints and this is a very common one. It doesnt matter what you have on your site, it doesnt matter about anything, it matters that the surfer is usually just somebody that jerked off and wants their money back when they sober up.

The surfer complaint is not to be taken up with the affiliate, but with the actual company. And all billing issues should be sent to the processor that billed their card. It is very plain, there is a million and one ways to email and call if something doesnt work.

The fact that you felt that a surfer complaint like this shoudl be brought on the boards to slam Epic Cash shows me that you either dont have your own paysites or you havnt been in the industry that long as this will be a common theme.
It is sad that you felt the need to use and email from somebody that you dont know to defemate somebody on the board without checking into the issue yourself.

If any Epic Cash affiliate wishes to check out any of the members section, i know that trey, cory or media is happy to help you get a temporarry password to check that out.

Now i have not demo'd epiccash signup lately , but this is industry standard.

Im speaking specifically about the re-checking the cross-sale after the user submits a username or password that is not long enough/too long.

Yahoo and google both use the same sort of deceptive marketing.

Yahoo likes to put the purchase/signup button at the very top and hide the crosssale/toolbar install at the bottom. Imagine how shitty it would look if they * epiccash hid crosssales this way..

Im not saying you have to like it, im just saying this is the same with most sponsors..

It's a matter of principal. There are a LOT of great Adult programs to select from. There's no Niche, that I can see, that Epic Cash has exclusively the best site(s) in.

I knew about Epic Cash before I saw Trey acting like a child around here. I decided not to use them after. I'm sure there's lots of people like me. Trey will claim it makes no difference. I'll tell you that the stats on my primary sponsor would land me squarely in Trey's top 10. Based on his own posting of top 100 Epic Affiliates. Huge loss to him? Probably not. Are there others like me? Probably.

My point is, you DO catch more flies with honey than with Vinegar.

I know lots of people who use us and talk with myself of Cory and get nothing but good support..

They don't have to deal with pimpdog, and thats really the way he prefers it.. he is the owner, he don't have to be nice to anyone...
