Why are there not more RICH foreign webmasters?

You would think most all of the top programs and sponsors would be from countries where the US dollar is worth more than it is in the states.

Employees cost less.
Talent costs less.
Takes less money to survive.

Everyone can access the web just like those from the US yet most big sponsors, programs, etc. are from here.

If I make $10,000 a month it's ok where if some people make it they have $9,500 to invest back in their business. So what is their excuse for not pratically owning every single market that does big numbers online?

TheJimmy 08-27-2004 10:16 PM

how do you know there aren't a lot?

only reason I ask or pose this question, is every month, sometimes every week I find new corners of people online I never knew existed before...

some quite impressive pockets of people and information too

:winkwink: :thumbsup :glugglug

Doctor Dre 08-27-2004 10:16 PM

Cauz they don't brag about it ...

The american mentality is to show everybody what they got ...

European webmasters such as diesel and couple other guys (from french scene, or just big promoters / mailers) don't talk much ... but are more succesfull then a lot of US based compagnies .

Doctor Dre 08-27-2004 10:17 PM

When you got something working right for yourself sometimes you just lay low ... :P

Where are the top 10 sponsor from?

I'm sure there are many foreign webmasters that make great money, especially for their location. However, they should be completely dominating every market that is marketable over the web.

Like I said, if I make $10,000 profit I could comfortably re-invest $5,000 to $6,000 where someone from another country could re-invest $9,500. With that advantage they should be completely dominating the market.

Bragging isn't an American mentality it's human nature.

And Europe isn't a poor country.

pornstar2pac 08-27-2004 10:24 PM

I'm mexican, so I'm consider foreign by a few idiots.

You´re so right Dre. Its both good and bad actually. Where I live currently, in Sweden, I have always been "ashamed" to talk about my money or earnings. Even though I think US guys brag alot I think its ok to show what you have actually accomplished.

First of all, I started at $0.00.

Second, I used $10,000 as an example. I could have said I could comfortably invest 50 cents of every dollar earned where some people can swing 95 cents.

I'm sorry if the $10,000 example was over your head. I'll try to dumb it down next time.

I've started out at $0 myself too, but saying investing 10k/month over anything, would make you 'dominate' any market at all is silly, since that alone is what some people around here spend in just say, hosting per month.

Maybe i took you a little bit too literally.

Ok. So Google and every other company that has their books open to the public have no integrity?

Someone's gotta know. What's the biggest Swedish porn operation on the planet?

Any huge paysites?
Sponsors?

Anything?

That is irrelevant.

If I have $5000 a month to re-invest and someone else equally as smart has $10,000 they should grow twice as fast right?

And that's in simple terms. Actually it would parlay into much more much faster.

Even though Internet is a global thing "being there" probably gives you an advantage on the market. After all, if you really want to become an millionaire US is the place to be.

Higher taxes in Europe? And seriously, no matter where you are, if you are making $10k a month you are NOT going to only live on $500 a month.

I understand that point foooo shooo...

but when you ask yourself, how many chinese GFYs or russian GFY's do you hang out at ?

all I was getting at is there is a WORLD of sponsors out there that I've never heard of that probably do quite a bit of biz...

in general I do know what you're getting at, if they were THAT big you'd think they'd have an english version running and we'd know about it...

interesting to think about, fooo shoo....

Of course not. But if $500 is the average income there they can do much more with $20,000 than I can.

Depends on what you invest that 5/10k on, maybe you spend 5/10k on a couple hun listings, maybe you outsource that money to hire a team of indian guys to send galleries for you, etc. it's all in how you play your cards, every time, at any industry.

I can't talk for the german and japanese markets, but i'm sure the spanish (europe/south american) markets are worthless, unless you want to deal with dialers or other shady shit.

Japan is probably the 1st or 2nd biggest market of them all :2 cents:

Yes, thats for sure. Look at Pfizer for instance, they never specify the % of Viagra sold in Japan but it ought to amounts for 30-40% of the revenue. Thats not bad for a smallish country with 120 mil or so people living in it.. :2 cents:

Sounds more like something you would find in China/Hong Kong, but it wouldn't surprise me. I've never seen it on my trips there.
