Is George Bush's likeness generic?
What's the deal with companies using Dubya's likeness on their products? Is he considered generic since he is the president or could he realistically go after and sue companies that use him?

I think figures in public office can't do shit about stuff like that. Arnold was threatening to sue some people over the same thing, but since he is in office now, he is SOL. At least that is what they were saying on the news.

Public figures at least on the federal level do not have copyright protection. Same thing goes for government documents. As far as Arnold I think images of him as GOVERNOR he can do anything about, but if you try to use one of him from when he was an actor then you can get into trouble. He doesnt like it, but tough shit, maybe he should have read the rules before he ran for governor.
