I just bought my first property!!!!! (pics)

Thanks to the money i made using mensniche and leadingedgecash and of course the sponsor in my sig. Now spam aside...

Got this Ile d'orléans property in Quebec city, it's 2 cottages on the waterfront. 65000sq feet. Here's a few pics with more to come as i'm gonna go get drunk in it tonight with some buddies.

Here's the main cottage

The view from the main patio, in the fall the bay fills up with geese, it's gonna be awesome for hunting
http://inrev.com/chalet/images/P1010011.jpg

The view continued, looking Cap Tourmente and at the far end i think it's Baie St-Paul and the opening of the St-Laurent.

The 2nd cottage viewed from the back

The inside of the 2nd cottage

I intend to enjoy it and rent it out a part of the year so it pays for itslef and still makes me cash, rentals in the area are in high demand so it should be alot of fun.

fr33s3x 08-27-2004 10:01 AM

That's a nice backyard you got.

Manowar 08-27-2004 10:02 AM

Very nice views you got there:thumbsup

Dildozer 08-27-2004 10:03 AM

$135000 CDN was the price i got it for.

fr33s3x, what i think you mention as a backyard is the coast at low tide, water comes at about 10 feet of the big cottage

Bigfuck 08-27-2004 10:05 AM

Nice place I think you did a good investment:thumbsup

WiredGuy 08-27-2004 10:05 AM

I'm already in a dilemna, there are already interested buyers...
Should i keep it or make a quick profit?

My bet is hold on to it for a bit at least.

impulseSD 08-27-2004 10:14 AM

Party in it for the weekend then rent it out.

Depend on how big the profit would be :winkwink:

BlingDaddy 08-27-2004 10:14 AM

Personally, I'd wreck the cottage and have a house built. (unless theres some kind of sentimental attachment) That kind of land alone here in Colorado would have set you back 500k+ USD.

----Investing in land since 91.

Congrats on your investment!

Another reason why i don't think selling is the right course of action, though i couldn't afford it right now, next year i could do that, i can build 2 properties on that land $$$$

Lucy 08-27-2004 10:17 AM

that's very nice, congratulations and enjoy:thumbsup

Precisely.... hold the investment, gain equity... 1 year slam 2 kick ass houses on the property and it will be worth 10 times what you paid for it.

Way to go Jedi.

If you can rent it out, never sell. Hold it untill you die. No need to chase the few quick bucks. And asset will support the the rest of your life.

Tuna 08-27-2004 11:07 AM

i would suggest renting it instead of selling

Dildozer 08-27-2004 01:08 PM

Thanks everyone!

Emma, it's not winterized so far so I have to close it in the winter (end of october)

Sucks but these places rent for $1000 a week and mine would probably go up to $1500 with the second cottage and swimming pool.

Anyway i'm on my way there finally, i'll take some more pics for sure!:glugglug

Very nice place, and congrats. Now make some nice improvments, enjoy it for a few years, and then sell it for a profit.

I hope the water level doesnt get too much higher or you may have water damage:2 cents:

It looks really good:thumbsup
If you think that the water is going to be an issue then sell it but if your not concerned about that then just rent it out
