I've thought of using this on hot link traffic. It kind of appealed to me that I'd be pissing off surfers (and hopefully bookmarkers) of the site that's doing the hotlinking.

Never actually done it .. But I've seriously considered it. I have 30,000+ hotlink hits per day .. It pisses me off that I had to buy a script to stop the bastards. The redirected traffic doesn't seem to buy much of anything.

Have you tried amateurpages.com? Just put up a page with 4 big pics on it. You'll turn that hotlinking traffic into cash. Either that or throw up a page with pay per email sponsors.
