probably going to watch this tonight. what did you think of it?

I almost watched it the other day but I was way to drunk on nyquil and had to turn it off. Looked like it might be a little to chick-flicky for me. (I watched maybe the first 15 min)

I did however find I was able to watch a cam of The Village high on nyquil, which is funny since now that I think about it the movie sucked fucking ass. Oh well.

I loved it. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. But it IS a bit of a chick flick. The whole movie is based around a couple struggling just to survive while wondering if they'll ever see each other again and fighting to get back together.

You can't deny nyquil intuition.

OMG, YES he was! He was amazingly sexy, especially near the end after he cleaned up. Yummy!

BS movie, boring, the scenery/landscape was the only nice thing - and most of the movie was shot in Romania.

it's basically the retelling of The Odyssy only during Civil War Times. The book is really good and I actually liked the movie. The cast is good, it looks good and really gives you a feel for what life was like back then and the hardships people faced. Well worth the watch.

Disjointed. An unsuccessful remake in the style of The English Patient.

I liked it - liked the book better, but that usually happens :winkwink:

Do you know anyone in Whistler that has a place with at least two bedrooms that would rent it between the 19th of December and the 3rd of January?

Beyond boring , three hours of no action... I'm a chick and even I couldn't stand the "chick-flickness" of it. Had to struggle to stay awake during all of it. Very slow-moving, almost three hours of nothingness...

not really a caliber movie but really worth watching for me

I just watched it. Great movie. The ending is a little predictable, and there are some spots in the movie that lag, but Rene Zellweiger rocks completely and Nicole's not bad either.

Of course I grew up in North Carolina so I know where they are talking about in the movie pretty much.

Although most of the outdoor scenes were shot in Romania's Carpathian mountains, and not in NC :)

This movie was so lame and boring.. I wanted to claw out my eyes.

Saw it last week, I liked it! Yeah it had some slow spots in there. Lot of lonely girls out there and I didn't need to se that fat chick riding that guy in the barn:(

Great movie.
The thing that struck me the most was that simple everyday living was such a struggle back then,
they would grab on to any little bit of pleasure they could.

I enjoyed it....well worth the time spent at home to watch it.
