Quick story - I dumped out a beer sitting on a bathroom sink at a college bar. My bad, but the I believe the fellow who started the fight wasn't even the owner of the beer.

I'm a rather skinny dude, so he pushed me into the stall...I pause, push back, duck a punch, and a wrestling match breaks out. We both get escorted out of the bar.

Outside I pull my best badass impression (whip the shirt off, wife beater underneath, pretty cut and looking fight ready), the guys starts to back off crying about my frat brothers coming out to back me up. His friends back him off....but we're close, and he takes a cheap swing. I duck again, but he clips my head. I just sit back and chill.....quasi-fight over.

Now I'm sitting here with a bump over my head, and I need the swelling down by tomorow to head to a friends wake.

Any tips on how to get this thing cleared up, quick?

And I see people putting direct, even pressure on swellings in boxing, dont know if thats to help minimize the swelling permanently or temporarily

To reduce the swelling, use a boiled egg. I shit you not, it works.

This is really bothering me. I'm a pretty peaceful guy - but if you push me around and I'm not ready for it I'll try my best to kick ass.

I have ice on the head right now, and had to skip hooking up with a chick to get this shit under control.

How growing up, and stop putting yourself in situations where someone wants to punch you in the first place? Worked for me, been years since someone tried to hit me.

I'm 21, and in college at the number three ranked party school. Hard to avoid. The bar I was at was one of the most chill places on campus.

if you have a cold or frozen steak, put that on it.

if not, put ice on it.

also, take 2 Iburpofen for the swelling and pain relief.

I'm curious too, you walk into a bar bathroom, see a beer on the counter and you decided to pick it up and pour it out? I can assure you that the guy who came out of the stall and attacked you owned that beer, he just set it there before taking a piss.
