im really sick of this fucking double border in photoshop

erm ..

normally my designer is doing this crap but he's on vacation

how to make a double border in photoshop easily?

i can add one with blending options, but when i want to add two or more (e.g. red border, then black border) i have to copy the layer and shit ...

isnt their an easier way?

It's easy to do with a layer style. What you do is create a stroke. Select Fill Type: Gradient. Then select Style: Shape Burst. Then edit the gradient to have the colors that you want. (This is the hardest part if you don't know what you're doing.) You'll have to slide the paint buckets underneath the gradient once you've opened the gradient editor so that they are touching each other to make the stroke solid. Then just increase the size of the stroke until it looks like you want it to.

I've made you a free style to get you started. It's a triple stroke that goes from black to white to black. Just put it in your Presets>Styles folder under Photoshop and then load in onto your styles pallette.

Just right click > save as :)

Woman. But thank you. I'm glad I could help. :winkwink:

For simple solid colors like that (yellow and red) why cant you just stroke it twice from the edit menu? Would have to adjust the settings a little on the second one but quick and easy.

why not just create a duplicate layer with a wider stroke then the top layer. thats what i do. takes 5 seconds.

That's basically what I do too.

New Layer - Modify - Expand by X - Fill with Color

I think that's how I do it :1orglaugh
