what's the deal on pocketbikes

Are they worth buying or what? Where can you ride them? Just questions I can't seem to find anywhere else.

I also wonder about the legality of them here in Canada. Would be fun to have one

They are illegal anywhere on city streets or sidewalks. Extreamly dangerous. Cost about $300 in Calif. Just another passing fad like the Razor skooters.

jacob if you get one I wont ever talk to you :(

they are mini death traps and annoying as hell

no laws are on them yet but soon im sure

the legality of riding them depends where u are, but in cali they frown on it.

they are exspensive pos chinese toys... i work at a custom motorcycle shop and before x-mas last year we got a hook up for the fake harley ones and a few differant sport bike ones - they were cool for a minute because no one else in a 100 mile radius of our shop had them and we sold a ton. then the price fell thru the floor and people found out you could get them in chinatown in nyc - and then local parts stores like pep boys started selling them

then the REAL fun started - people were breaking them - and they are imported from china in a box 98% assembled... and there is NO parts available for them - other then what you could get a a lawnmower place, because the motors are weed wacker motors

needless to say we stopped selling them and don't really recomend them to anyone who doesnt understand that they are a $3-500 toy and when it breaks, game over

if you seriously want a pocket bike, look into the real thing - blatta's and a few other manufactors. they start around $1800 - but you can get madd parts and get them up around 65-70mph which is sick

the other thing is 50cc dirt bikes for kids, honda xr50 and now they are produces as the crf50 - they make bmx style bars and all for them :)

more throw away toys for the welfare dirtbags to spend their money on and piss away. . . they don't give a shit about parts or fixing things. Have you seen the way people live . They sell these on the corner with all the knock-off shoes and other bullshit that gets tossed in the streets or in a landfill in a few weeks.
