have you ever been working away at your desk and then suddenly...

ok, got a new desk and chair yesterday....

http://www.hjorleifson.com/apple/desk.jpg

and then working away a few mins ago i suddenly started sweating. no reason why - pouring sweat. dripping.

so i had a shower and seem fine now.

weird - never had that happen before.

WiredGuy 08-26-2004 09:41 PM

Were you looking at a really hot girl by any chance while working? That could do it :)

How this chair can handle you?

SleazyDream 08-26-2004 09:42 PM

nope - that's the weird thing. wasn't looking at porn or wacking off or anything.

aflex 08-26-2004 09:43 PM

Thats just your body telling you to shower.

EpicLisa 08-26-2004 09:43 PM

Panic, anxiety attack?

MattO 08-26-2004 09:43 PM

Spicy food earlier?

Spunky 08-26-2004 09:43 PM

Move your chair away from the heater element

Sana Chan 08-26-2004 09:43 PM

Well if you were a woman in her 40s or 50s I might have a really good answer. But you're not.

Perhaps you had a sugar rush and your body needed to release the energy. What had you eaten?

FreeFastHost 08-26-2004 09:44 PM

I have a leather chair and sometimes the back of it gets really hot and I start sweating.

may be the early stages of hypoglycemia. cold sweats, sugar throws you way off, its like a diabetes starter kit, might wanna see a doctor.

Dawgy 08-26-2004 09:57 PM

detoxed 08-26-2004 09:57 PM

nice desk, where did you get it?

Sly_RJ 08-26-2004 09:58 PM

I really like your monitor stand. I'm not cool enough to have an office yet though. :(

iwantchixx 08-26-2004 09:59 PM

Your heart. See a doc. random profuse sweating is a sign of blockages.

.:St Ides:. 08-26-2004 10:00 PM

maybe you have not showered in a few days and the scent was telling you it's time

You know, it looks pretty roomy underneath that new desk. You might think about putting a small fridge under there. Exercise is the leading cause of sweating, and having to get up to walk to the fridge is a form of exercise.

I'm thinking of putting one under my desk as well, once I figure out where to move my filing cabinet and shredder to. :thumbsup

Doctor Dre 08-26-2004 10:23 PM

Maybe an alergic reaction to a product that was on the chair or something ... but if there's nothing now then I dunno ...

Dagwolf 08-26-2004 10:26 PM

That's happened to me. Then I got sick... I'm pretty sure it was some bad food.

Nice desk and chair.. as for the sweating thing. I'd go see a doctor.. there are a number of things I can think of that would cause that and none of them are pleasant.

wdsguy 08-26-2004 10:48 PM

your house is haunted, move out now

Never, thats sounds weird.

You have that HP scanner/printer/copier too? 1337 :glugglug

mardigras 08-26-2004 11:38 PM

Unless you're by chance allergic to something in the chair my vote goes toward anxiety attack too. You don't necessarily have to be under stress to have one.

mardigras 08-26-2004 11:42 PM

I think anxiety attacks can sometimes be triggered by the same things that trigger epileptic seizures. Of those I have experienced they have mostly been after sessions in front of a monitor.

nastyking 08-26-2004 11:44 PM

i'm allergic to chairs

juice 08-26-2004 11:44 PM

Did that happen soon after seeing your SexTracker's stats?

That has to be the cleanest desk I have EVER seen! I don't have an inch of clear space on mine :(

StuartD 08-27-2004 07:18 AM

Happens to me when a storm is rolling in... the humidity really gets to me and everything gets all hot and sticky... and not in a good way :(
