Does anyone know if SP2 fixes...

... the bug with XP's thumb generation system where it faults if it finds a corrupted file?

I go to Save As in Photoshop, and the fucking thing dies because XP is trying to generate a thumb for the directory listing, and comes across an image it doesn't like.

I don't know why gdiplus.dll is barfing, the files are saved by Photoshop . The only unusual thing is that they are large (150Mb+, 48 bit TIFF) but I was working on about 10 files from the same scanner with no probs at all, until yesterday...

What's the date on your gdiplus.dll? My system has two with slightly different sizes (????!!??)

Pretty much the same (sp1). If your careful you might be able to find some different versions using p2p. There's always tons of people out there with their system directories shared. You might be having issues if all your raw scans are in the same directory.

There would be probably more chances of bugging your system then debugging it using SP2
