chatterbot programs such as A.L.I.C.E.
made by Dr. Richard Wallace as seen at
www.alicebot.org the bot I made
was by way of Pandora Bots which is
based on the same technology as ALICE
as can be seen as www.pandorabots.com
bear in mind there are different kind of bots
an dthis kind of bot is only to simulate
conversation, it is not in an IRC channel,
it is not for posting at msg boards, it is not
for sending emails, etc.. there are different
kinds of "BOTS"

you can do a search there at GFY
the link to the old search that used
to work has long been disabled,
but if you click for it anyway
and get the page that says it is disabled,
all you have to do is insert the word
new within the url in the web browser address bar
and hit return to navigate to the currently
usable search that was made newer and hidden
that can be used to make searches within GFY

it wasn't really taken away completely
it was just made hidden so most people
would not have it as easily accessible to them
