Honestly, with those prices, you'll make it hard trying to capture potential customers. I know it's business ethics to not oversell and so on, but if you want to survive in the belligerent hosting industry-- You have to appeal to the customer.

Good luck on this endeavor.

welcome and :321GFY

PowerCum 08-26-2004 07:24 AM

Lol, I get 1000 GB dedicated box for the same price that I would get 70 GB at your hosting.
I also offer hosting to others and it's not difficult to set some good prices without overselling. In the worst of the cases you will pay $0.15 per GB, so sell it to $0.45 or something like, but not per $1.75, this is insane.

you almost have the same structure price as flying crocodile ;)

Ask them how much ppl left the building to

and price were from 1997-98

Omg another cheap ass reseller hosting company by an aol user that claims lots of things :1orglaugh

How am I suppose to get any profit if I make the prices $4/month etc... Any suggestions? Does anyone have any advice for how to improve my pricing packages besides just making the prices extremly cheap? Because all of the extremly cheap hosting that I have ever purchased the tech support takes forever to get in contact with. With this company I am trying to change that and give affordable prices with great tech support.

Forget about the adult market, and go after non adult only.. much more money to be made there, and not as hard to sell higher priced hosting. Trust me, you will NOT make it in the adult market unless you have about $250,000 upfront to bring up your own network.

fried09 08-26-2004 08:48 AM

What forums should I post in ? Any suggestions on a free way to spread the word of my new company?

BRISK 08-26-2004 09:00 AM

120 gigabytes of bandwidth per month is your Behemoth Plan?

mcmc 08-26-2004 09:01 AM

If you can offer an additional special service ... lets say TGP hosting including scripts, DRM services, streaming services or similar, you may have a chance. If you can not offer any additional stuff at that price, you are fucked up in the adult biz for sure

The Heron 08-26-2004 09:02 AM

Asking for advice on a board called "go fuck yourself" will only ensure success in you new venture! Good job newbie...

most adult WMs need way more than that. Id say 200 GB +

macho 08-26-2004 09:07 AM

Try any specified on web hosting forums, probably you find something there!

BRISK 08-26-2004 09:07 AM

The Behemoth Plan should be more like 12,000 gigabytes a month

Brinner 08-26-2004 09:09 AM

Wow, 15,000 mb connection. Hell of a deal :1orglaugh

cayne 08-26-2004 09:13 AM

I think that if you're using an AOL email address, you're not qualified to even be using a computer.

fried09 08-26-2004 09:23 AM

How about
Extra Services
Ecommerce Scripts (Free)
Assistance in installing scripts
Web Design
Access to all of the numbers that aren't on the do not call list

fried09 08-26-2004 09:24 AM

Also about the aol e-mail account. I'm only paying $5/month for it .

fried09 08-26-2004 12:01 PM

Also we will setup up drm and tgp for those that specifically request it.

Do you even know what these things are or are you just saying this?

fried09 08-26-2004 12:51 PM

I know what they are and I'm also setting it up so that you have the ease of instantly installing things such as a chat, a feedback forum , a news submission script. I also will supply agora cart.

bdld 08-26-2004 01:28 PM

you will set up TGP if we request it? :1orglaugh
try selling your hosting to local companies who are clueless to the term "gigabyte"

Bigwilly 08-26-2004 01:30 PM

The fact that you are paying for an AOL account makes it even worse.
