I say lots of intensity and willingness to win. Indeed their offense soared in high percentage but their all-around defense brought the house down for Team Spain in the 4th qtr. Most of the teams in the tournament, except team US, have been playing/preparing for the Olympics for at least a year, while at the same time, these star players of the US are playing during the regular season of the NBA. For me, this is a revelation and the most feared basketball team has yet to flame when it battles other opposing team hoping for the Gold medal.
Indeed, overall, this is far yet the best of the Game US has shown so far after that 2 losses. But despite this fact, i don't blame these player which just blended with each other in just 2 months of rigorous trainings. Don't forget that these players are fighting each other on the NBA court, so definitely, it would take time for them to gel with their team mates.
And besides, this is not the original line-up of the so called Dream Team. If I had to choose, i'll bring out the best from the NBA:
Shaq (C)
Duncan (F)
Garnett (F)
Kobe (SG)
Kidd (PG)
