A German waiter who was sacked for drinking up to 100 bottles of beer every day has won a case for unfair dismissal.

The 50-year-old, who had worked at the Unter Taschenmacher pub in Cologne for eight years, admitted that his managers had repeatedly warned him not to drink at work.

It's a good precedent, I'll send the link to my boss.. so, as I'm in my "dream job" i could get some free beers while working..:glugglug

Nobody can drink 100 bottles of beer a day.

The waiter apparently was able to do it. Probably has a liver the size of a Volkswagen.:helpme

100 beers / day = 20 liters / day

100 bottles , 3 bottles is 1 liter -> 33 liter of beer in 1 day

That's a lot of beer... must be part Irish.

I have a hard time believing anyone can do this myself..

Not to mention the cost of drinking that much a day.. $$$ wise.

In Ontario, a bar that allows its staff to drink while working can lose its liquor licence.

Never understood how the shooter girls get away with it.

He drank it "with his friends". I still dont understand how he won that in court though.

:thumbsup Same judges who think that you are liable to a burglar who was robbing YOU because he crashed through your leaky roof. (True case from California. Look it up. It's still 'good' law there.) :(
