Dmoz cats you had luck with
Please name one or several dmoz categories where you have been submitting to lately AND been accepted within reasonable time. Looks like some editors fucking won't list you

I have heard that they're tooo lazy some of them. A friend of me listed a week ago after about 2 months. And then some of you complain for hun listings!
|
The sad thing is often it is not laziness but egoism of the editors I'd say. They seem to have an attidtude "now I got my sites in, better keep the others out". They aren't allowed to do that but they just can't get enough, and instead of only pushing their own sites they push their sites AND try to keep others out.
BTW if you make this experience, and think your site is qualified for a listing, then send that editor an email, and if he doesn't answer send another one to the one level up editor, and if that doesn't help go the next level up. At some point they ARE serious, and the small selfish editor will have to explain WTF he denies legitimate sites. (He might then say the site had 5 popups when you submitted - don't know how to proof it hadn't) |
From what I hear right now guidelines are beeing cleaned up and some editors got some heat already because of this shit. They even kick editors off. So, the higher ups DO care (but not all semi-higher ups), and your email does have an effect. Don't let them away with that unfair behaviour. If there are several complaints about a single editor he'll be under the microscope and behave like he should.

I haven't been able to get shit listed there lately! Very frustrating! There has been even a few categories where I should be listed where they no longer have an editor for that category. I tried submitting to one category up...but nada!
