Canadian Olympian Vows Redemption
Canadian hurdler Perdita Felicien, the reigning world champion and record holder in the 100m hurdles going into the 2004 Athens Summer Olympiad vowed through tears that she will not retire and will be back in four years in Beijing to reedeem herself after crashing into the first hurdle in yesterday's final, ending her dream of Olympic gold and that of the Russian athlete she knocked over.
"I am not a quitter. I will have a good long cry and then get on with things and begin training again. I guarantee the Canadian people I will do better in 2008, a 100% improvement, I will crash head on into the second hurdle next time."
