How many of you look at their marketplace for good adult names ? Is pool a waste of time when trying to sell adult domains ?

Ever since they made the aution change i dont even go anymore.

I used to look at their daily drop list (the big list they used to have, not just their top 10) but they've since removed that and have replaced it with their domain marketplace. I never surf their marketplace.

me too... the domain just disappeared from my auction list... dont even know how close I was... I figure I will bid conservatively and see what happens. I refuse to overpay because of their new system. Im also wondering if its a way for them to keep the 1337 domains.

No that's the point.

You can be the only one in phase 2 and just be bidding up against yourself.

pool.com = scumbuckets of domain names
namescout.com = parent company of scumbuckets

so who in the domain biz isnt scum that can actually acquire a name ? no one.

Geez, I already hated the new rules, but putting it that way makes me want to avoid them altogether. Obviously the new rules are geared towards pumping up the final sale pricing, but overpaying when you're the only bidder seems ludicrous.

To try and jack up prices by blind bids is absolute horse shit . There's a BIG difference between this and a standard auction practice. PAY ATTENTION !

Snap and others have been quickly picking up ground lately. Pool isn't doing as well as it was about 1 month ago (in amount of good names captured). I really don't understand why idiots bid so early. You just want to drive the price up to see it triple in the last 30 mins? Many thought they were bidding themselves in the first place.

as for the bidding early... It was already at $2k when I got to it... So I figured I would just bid the max Im willing to pay for it. Im pretty sure it wont be enough, but I'll just see what happens.

That's not the only problem with them. Look at how they took care of MY problem

Fuck Pool. I paid $380 for a domain last week and still dont have login info. On top of that the whois doesnt exist for it :(
