Hungarian Kuvasz - [pics]
New dog. Got him at the pound. Evidently, he was working for a sheep company in Wyoming and was found along the Wy-Co line. They think he was out there for 5 to 6 months when he was picked up, about 40 pounds underweight.
He's been in foster care for the dog pound for about a month and a half and is still about 25-30 pounds underweight. We'll feed him puppychow for a couple months and some weight builder stuff we used to use for horses. I think if this fucker didn't know someone just walking in the house, they might get their ass bit. (after he gets used to where he is). He has a pretty good bark now :) The Kuvasz (pronounced "Koo - Vuz") name in turkey means 'protector'. They are a long established, ancient Hungarian Shepherd Dog, that were used to watch and guard their flocks against predators and thieves. Some lines of Kuvasz are more easy going than others, and some accept children more readily than others. As is typical of flock guard breeds, the Kuvasz is wary and suspicious of that which is not familiar. They can be stubborn and may test their owners dominance. They are also said to be a devoted, one family dog, they are intensely loyal to that which is his own. http://adult-site-traffic.com/king-1.jpg http://adult-site-traffic.com/king-2.jpg |

I think if the cat was a Coyote or a Bear there'd be trouble. Dog was coming up the stairs two steps at a time first time in the house, and he saw the cat half way up and did a u-turn :) |

My black lab has an ear that is about half ripped off from fucking with my tomcat..... or the mamma, we don't know which one finally had enough and damn near ripped his ear off his head. LOL He is so pretty..... you'll have to show pics when you get his weight back up on him. I've never heard of this breed, but he's a nice looking dog. :thumbsup |

Yea, he should be about 125 pounds. This dog is fucking huge.
When I opened the back of the car to let him our, he just stepped out instead of jumping. Funny thing is a dog this size trots like he isn't even leaving tracks. |
hmmm...nice dog. from the look of his legs, he's really a runner. he'll be ok for a few months. :thumbsup

Cute dog, the cat seems to think so too.
