Proof: Swift Boat Ads

Ben Ginsbgerg, a legal advisor to Bush, just resigned because he was directly involved with the Swift Ads. Proof that Bush was behind the ad. Bush got caught red handed.

LOL, just watched an interview with one of those swift boat guys last nite. He claimed all this shit about Kerry getting medals for nothing but he got one too for the same mission as Kerry so he had to backpedal as to why he took one too. And of course, he was a republican...

He gave them legal advice only and there is nothing wrong with that.

Kerry has met directly with many of the left wing groups supporting him but that's no problem of course.

Kerry and MoveOn.org are not pretending to be nothing more than a bunch of concerned vets.

directfiesta 08-25-2004 10:44 AM

bottom line, the ads are lies:

Quote:

Navy report backs Kerry's role in swift boat incident

Wednesday, August 25, 2004
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Navy task force overseeing John Kerry's swift boat squadron in Vietnam reported that his group of boats came under enemy fire during a March 13, 1969, incident that three decades later is being challenged by the Democratic presidential nominee's critics.
The March 18, 1969, weekly report from Task Force 115, which was located by The Associated Press during a search of Navy archives, is the latest document to surface that supports Kerry's description of an event for which he won a Bronze Star and a third Purple Heart.
....

The anti-Kerry group has not produced any official Navy documents supporting that claim, however. The man Kerry rescued, Jim Rassmann, and the crew of Kerry's boat all say there was gunfire from both banks of the river at the time.

Most of the group's members and early financial backers are Republicans and one member who appeared in an ad, Ken Cordier, was a volunteer member of the Bush campaign. The campaign cut its ties with Cordier last week.

Politic is a dirty business, but American politics are worse....

dig420 08-25-2004 10:45 AM

also moveon.org is a legitimate grass-roots organization, as are most liberal interest groups. Swift vets are a front group for a small cabal of wealthy republican patrons, as are most conservative interest groups.

Conservatives are unethical shitheels.

benc 08-25-2004 10:57 AM

I think there is a lot of truth to what the swift guys have said. Often times military records aren't very accurate. Plus Kerry did come back from the war and turn into a Jane Fonda type which pisses off alot of vets.

I think its comical because moveon spent like 60 million dollars with their ads.

Then Michael Moore creates a nationally played 'documentary' that was solely designed to bash Bush and affect the election. Make sure to get your DVD which comes out conviently close to before the election :1orglaugh

Now heres the funny part, these swift boat things are far more damaging then the moveon and Moore things because it comes off more legitimate, because most people with half a brain know Moore is basically a windbag that has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Simply put, the Democrat party got schooled.

This is not proof that the President was behind the ad. In addition the President is probably not behind any ad...as the Bush people hire advertising firms to produce ads.

theking 08-25-2004 12:00 PM

It is being reported that the ads have already cost Senator Kerry 15% of the votes that he did have from Vets. If the loss is not somehow reversed this single ad could possibly cost him the election.

SHOWS THAT LIES FLIES in the US ...

Meanwhile, the liar is shielding himself ... what a hero !

Quote:

Cleland tries to deliver congressional Democrats' letter to Bush

CRAWFORD, Texas ? Former Democratic Sen. Max Cleland tried to deliver a letter protesting ads challenging John Kerry's Vietnam service to President Bush at his Texas ranch Wednesday, but neither a Secret Service official nor a state trooper would take it.

The former Georgia senator, a triple amputee who fought in Vietnam, was carrying a letter from nine Senate Democrats who wrote Bush that "you owe a special duty" to condemn attacks on Kerry's military service.

"The question is where is George Bush's honor, the question is where is his shame to attack a fellow veteran who has distinguished himself in combat?" Cleland asked. "Regardless of the political combat involved, it's disgraceful."

Encountering a permanent roadblock to Bush's ranch, Cleland left without turning over the letter to anyone.

"I have a letter signed by nine members of the U.S. Senate, all of whom have served honorably and I'd like to hand it to a responsible officer here on the gate," Cleland said as he tried to deliver it to security personnel at the roadblock. He accused a member of the president's security detail of trying to evade him.

"I am just going to return the letter and make sure it gets in the mail," Cleland said as he returned to his car.

It is apparent that Senator Kerry has told some lies of his own...and he and his advisors should not have placed so much emphasis upon his four months of service in Vietnam as somehow proving that he would make a good Commander in Chief. The doors were more than opened to smack him down on this issue...particularly when combined with his long voting record in regards to the military and military expenditures. I personally do not like his voting record as regards the military and military expendures and that is an understatement. Though I will not vote for the President...I am considering not voting for Senator Kerry either.

take some more morphine and down some more vodka you are lucky men lose legs so you can fake a back injury and still get a check.

Penthouse Tony 08-25-2004 12:44 PM

If Bush has someone advising his campaign that offers his service for free to the Swift Boat Veterens on his own time I have no problem with that. Do we really expect people with like interests and goals not to talk? BTW John Kerry has people in his campaign that work for Moveon.org. These campaign reform laws aren't worth much in my opinion.

Yes, if you take a post where there is supposed to be transparence, then you should not be involved in organisations that are parrallel to your job... How can we know that he was not the go between, the glue between the GOP and that group...

The only way: don't do it.

And his resignation backs up this... It is the apperance of involvment that is sufficient to create a haze ...

Joesho 08-25-2004 01:16 PM

Oregon is no longer considered a battleground state, Kerry has a 12 pointlead in the polls now.

Why do we even care if he was the go between? What does it matter? Should it be a secret that both these groups have the same goal -- getting Bush re-elected. The only people that benefit from these campaign reform laws are the lawyers who will be disputing all these ad campaigns in court.

I think his resignation wasn't necessary especially since Kerry has hired people from Moveon.org. It was probably done so he wouldn't be a distraction to the group's message. Certainly should not be used as proof of wrong doing.
