Janet Jackson has accused President Bush of using the so-called Nipplegate affair to divert attention from the Iraq War

She says she regrets apologising for exposing her breast during her performance with Justin Timberlake saying it only made her look guilty.

Jackson told US magazine Genre she feels the White House used her notorious "wardrobe malfunction" to distract America from criticism of President Bush following the war.

She says: "I truly feel in my heart that the president wanted to take the focus off of him at that time, and I was the perfect vehicle to do so at that moment.
