Now that you make money / earn a living on your own, do you take care of your parents at all out of love, the same reason they took care of you?

yes, i spend a large amount of money on my mother, she deserves any help she gets, being a single mom isnt an easy thing to do and she still has two kids at home to take care of

One of my long term (5-10yrs) goal is to pay off my mothers house.

in the past 2 years i've paid of my parent's mortgage, paid off all of their credit cards, lines of credit, bought my dad a sports car, developed their basement, bought them rrsps, and the list goes on.

also gave my father a job within my company.

I was rasied by my Grandmother, and about a year ago my aunt (Her daughter passed away) And her finances went all to hell.

Grannie is blind and bedridden and on SSI and she basicly put herself about 18k+ in the red.

I shut down my office, moved out of my house (Rental) And came back 'home' to take care of her.

I'm hoping to have both my parents retire by next summer.

Kind of nervous about it, though, because my income has never been steady. It fluctuates like a bitch.

Awesome. It's been a goal of mine to take care of my parents, and sister, and get my mom to retire a bit early so she can enjoy her life.

this is a long term goal of mine. they've worked hard their whole life to bring myself and my sister up so the favour shall be returned.

I'd like to buy my parents a cottage. And also give them a lump of cash so they can retire in comfort. Next few years I should be able to do both.

My parents are loaded. Always have been.

Each year that goes by, they have even more money.

They need nothing and have all they want.

Last night I gave valium pills to my mom, while asleep, I removed a kidney and sold it on the black market.

I bought flowers the next morning and she liked them all. I still love her.

My parents dont need any financial help, but I bought them a vacation house in France with my brother. And I bought them a 2 months cruise..........

And if they ever need anything I will do everything in my power to get it for them.

My parents are well off, but if they needed anything, I'd be there for them. Same for my brothers.

Absolutley not. Been on my own since I was 16, had an unbelievable & shitty childhood after my dad died when I was 7, mom & stepdad were alcoholics and poor excuses for parents.

And a word of advice for you parents and soon to be parents.... if you value alcohol over everything else and abuse & treat your kids like shit while they are growing up... dont expect them to have anything to do with you after they have kids of thier own and realize what a fucking piece of shit you are to treat your child like you did.
