How do you explain your job to your relatives and family friends who have no idea how the internet works let alone how to make money on it?

tell them you sell moodrings on ebay

I sell porn on the intraweb.

I tell them what I do..

Hell my parents worked for me for 4 years when we were located in Georgia, they didn't want to move to Nevada, so I fired them...

I paid off my Grandmothers bills from my grandfathers illness, and she knows exactly what I do..

Fuck, i'm not ashamed of what I do for a living..

I dont explain myself to people im related to. most of them know what I do, if they dont, I dont care what they think either way.

yeah my parents know.... but my grandparents for example, they don't even know how the internet works, and if i tried to explain what i do, they would only absorb the "porn" part of it and be dissapointed. so how shoudl i word it to them, and others?

I do pornography websites . I do not toutch / fuck the model or see him in person when they ask ...

But when I don't know some1 I'l talk more about the mainstream business then porn

I talk about the mainstream stuff I push.

They know what I do and have learned to accept it.

Search engine optimization and marketing of various internet sites. Anyone with little experience of internet will be like huh. Those who do understand will likely be baffled by some SEO terminology so I rarely talk about what I do.

I have no clue how to explain it to grandparents...in most cases, the generation gap is too wide for them to even absorb how the net works.

When someone asks me what I do I say Internet marketing. That's what I do. I market products and services over the Internet. I'm not "in the porn industry". I'm not a pimp. There aren't models hanging out at my house. I don't sell pussy.

Like you said, I'm an internet marketer plain and simple. I just happen to market porn.

Anyone that does what I do and says they're in the porn industry are making a feeble attempt at being self-important.

I boar the the shit out of them with technical babal and they never ask again.

Why do you care about what will say others? I tell them I run porn sites and I'm very proud of it. They can think one thing or another... but for shure they visit my sites after that :)
