What commercial are you sick of?
 

There are a lot of annoying commercials (like ditech.com) but for me it's usually music in commercials that eventually grates on me. The 2 that really make me want to leave the room are Zelnorm (with the women with written-on stomachs) with it's music loop that apparently is supposed to be reminencent of a gurgling stomach and the played-in-nearly-every-commercial-break Sprint "My business is beautiful". That's like a never ending bad 70's lounge act nightmare.

What commercials currently send you grabbing the remote?

My son watches a lot of tech tv.. and there is this commerical on there that starts out with the song amazing grace... I think it's one for feeding kids..

Now mind you I have no problem with helping to feed kids of the world. It's just that they seem to play this commerical every time they take a break.

It's just played too much is what I'm trying to say.

I get insulted when commercials depict their customers as stupid little puppets that go absolutely insane over their product.

Yeah, sure, the point is to say "look, this guy loves it soooo much and so should you" but in reality it's like they're slapping their customers in the face and calling them stupid.

And there seems to be so many these days. Like the swiffer commercials where the chick is cleaning someone else's house. And the Wendy's guy who goes around saying he's their "unofficial spokesperson".

I'm also pretty sick of JCPenny commerical..

I'm pretty sick of all of them, but the worst are:
1. Sixflags (got real old, real quick)
2. McDonalds (next they are going to try to bring in health-conscious people.... oh wait, they are trying)
3. Bowflex
In no particular order, they all annoy me.

I do really miss the weed commercials, dont see too many of them anymore. "Sarah........ we need to talk....."

I've been seeing one regularly where some kids are in a bedroom and one says, "Bring out that weed man" and when he opens his stash box there is nothing but a pack of rolling papers and his mom has written on one of them "We need to talk".

I dont watch enough regular TV to see that many commercials. my TV is usually tuned to hbo, cinemax, encore, starz, and showtime.

Every annoying commercial should be studied and learned from in your marketing :winkwink:

True enough, the drug commercials bother me on several levels. They claim for every 1 dollar spent on drug ads, the return is over 4 dollars. But we know it's because they charge so much.

Besides, drugs should be dispensed to patients, not to customers. There is a serious breakdown when patients go to doctors just to get a drug they see in a commercial. But thats the game.

Should have invested in drug companies in the 80's, I'll tell you that much.

Drug commericals definitely need to be made illegal. The hypocracy is amazing when you think about it. The US is fighting a "war on drugs" yet their citizens are encouraged to run to their doctors and ask about all these new drugs that the pharmeceutical companies are comming out with.

Consumers are in no position to be inquiring about medications. It's their doctor's job to make educated decisions and advise. Not companies looking to make a profit.

True.. but the drug lobby is truly massive. There are more lobbyists for drug companies than there are representatives of the people. Thats a true fact.

Anything with a doorbell in it...it makes my dog bark like she has rabies. there was a Stridex commercial that had a dorbell ring at the beginning and the end...I'd just get her calmed down from the first time and then the second would set her off. When I realized why she was doing that, I tried just switching the channel as I calmed her down from the first ring, but then my 2yo started freaking out b/c I switched off her cartoons. Ugh!

There was some ad that had the same damn doorbell sound as ours, but it would ring three times in rapid succession. I have the TV loud, usually, because (my wife says) I'm deaf, and when that thing came on the first few times, I thought it was some idiot at the door.

The commercials @ high tech tv channel (it's called Z here) always get on my nerves .

I really hate them fucking Vagina Cream Medication commercials. I really don't like hearing the words "vaginal discharge" :repuke

The latest batch of Chevy commercials with "Magic Carpet Ride" kicking in while they slide a car carrier sideways with the new batch of Chevy's arriving. That has to be the most annoying commercial so far this year.

It seems like every reporter outside on CNN or Fox News has some vehicle in the background making the backing up beep beep sound, that really gets them going.
