Today is not 2257 d-day...is just the last day for commenting

it is annoying seeing people posting that today is the day everything has to be changed, when all this is, is the last day for commenting....

at this point, it really shows who hired a laywer or sought out legal council...and who didn't and it just using this board as their source of info

just keep bumping it....

funny thing is, that ALL day today people will instantly come to the board without reading recent posts, and still post about today being d-day for 2257...haha

sumphatpimp 08-24-2004 04:26 AM

who gives a shit?

shermo 08-24-2004 04:27 AM

Thanks for your straight answer Jace. At least your the first to give one.

Sixth... Get off of his nuts. I asked a question because I wanted an answer. I got one. Give up the tough guy act and shut the fuck up.

Thanks.

True...I haven't sought legal advice for affiliate business for 1 simple reason: It's up to the affiliate programs as to how they want to deal with this issue. If a program owner won't provide the documents, I won't leave their galleries up...Simple as that. There's nothing wrong with affiliates waiting until things are set in stone to seek advice. We don't even know if this will be added or not.

As for Ghostcash... We've always been complaint and we have sought out legal advice just to be on the safe side. :thumbsup

honestly, that is a good way to be.....i hate to say it, but I won't be handing out docs for my wifes site...but I am not worried to much cause majority of our business is not affiliates, we built it up that way....

Thanks for seeing my side of reasoning. I'm not about to ask every program owner for records...Especially if I don't make them $500+ a week. It's a waste of their time and the privacy issue is questionable. If Program A doesn't want to give out docs and I have 50 galleries of theirs up, there's nothing I can do other than delete them from my server. What good would legal advice do if I have no use for the content anyways?

Like I said...There's 2 sides of the fence. Program owners and affiliates. If you play both, why not take care of the priority first and then handle the other side once things are written in stone?

no shit man...i will tell you this though, i do have a few high dollar affiliates...but I know them very well, we chat on icq daily and i pretty much trust them...i will be providing them with docs for sure....but only to select affiliates...maybe 3-4 of them..

My point exactly, and I don't think you're the only program owner who is thinking this way. :thumbsup

yeah, I am lining up stuff I need incase but watching and waiting before I spend a month trying to decide which pages I keep up and which I take down.

How is the final version announced?

Jace 08-24-2004 05:44 AM

i am going out to fix my beetle (it shall run again one day), can someone please keep this bumped? i have a feeling it won't matter though, we will still see threads all day about how today is the day to comply

KRL 08-24-2004 05:46 AM

I've been in this biz for 20 years. Been through all sorts of legal changes and regulations. Had only one incident in that time. Resolved it with the government without any prosecution.

Most people here don't know their heads from their ass in regards to legal matters, 99% have never had an actual incident like I have, don't know the realities of the ins and outs of how the system really works in regards to adult entertainment law and many talk and offer legal advice as if they graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School.
