What kinda RAM do I have??

I'm looking to add more RAM to my PC. I have a P4 1.6 GHz with 256 MB of RAM. I'm assuming I should add the same kind of RAM that I have right now.

But how do I know what type of RAM I have? DDR? SDRAM? YADDAYADDARAM? I have no clue.

Thanks for any help techies :thumbsup

Download this program:

http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-123.zip

Run it and go to the memory tab and it should tell you what kind of memory you have.

You most likely have RDRAM in a machine of that type.. which is actually pretty fucking expensive to upgrade.. sadly. :(

Edit: RDRAM = Rambus when you are looking at memory prices online or whatever.

For a computer that old I woudl say DDR 266 is more likely than DDR400.
