NFL: Looks like my Chiefs made a statement

tonight in the first quarter.

With Gunther back as the Defensive coordinator, the Chiefs are a lock this year.

My Niner's are looking promising, even though they lost the pre-season opener to the Raiders. I was at the game and love what I see. I don't think this is our year, but next year or the year after will be!

Olathe East, isnt that where Sproles of KSU went? He is a bad ass although I am all about KU basketball. When did you graduate? I have some friends that went there.

I heard the stadium cleared out tonight because of Tornado warnings????

Going to come see them play in Tampa??

This is your official invite!!

Snake Doctor 08-23-2004 10:46 PM

If there's one thing you can be sure of in the NFL its that the teams everyone thinks will go all the way never do.

Since the start of the salary cap era nobody has any depth, so one injury to a key player changes the whole complexion of the team...and somebody always gets injured on every team almost every year.

I picked the Chiefs long ago to win it all...........and I don't even like them........I can't believe pinheads like SI's Peter King, who says the Chiefs defense won't hardly be improved.......these ppl have short memories

I dont know, I left at half time because they were putting in all the third string guys. I havent heard anything about it but the tornado warning was in Johnson County only I think. The weather at the stadium wasnt that bad during the game, it was pretty rainy during the tailgate party though.

Crazy ass storms last night. Not typical for the last part of August at all. Last night was the kind of shit we're used to seeing in May

Has he ever picked the champ?

Isn't he the reason for the SI jinx?

The Chiefs look very strong out of the gates, Priest may challenge Jim Brown's record.

smokingdawn 08-24-2004 01:19 PM

Didn't they lose to the Giants???

Darkland 08-24-2004 01:33 PM

I went to a few of their games last year, they have always been my favorite team. With the performance they put in last year I hope it gets better this year. Got season tickets this year so I am ready for the season to start.

SetTheWorldonFire 08-24-2004 01:49 PM

I'll be at the Tampa Raider game september 26,

IT'S PAYBACK FOR SUPERBOWL!

RAIDERS ALL THE WAY! :BangBang:

None of the starters played after the 1st quarter. They said that was a game to evaluate some of the new players.

Shawnee Mission Northwest here, had a GF from Olathe.

Let's go Chiefs! They just need to bring their game into the playoffs, that's always been the issue. :2 cents:
