Im always looking at expanding my musical tastes and some of the best bands iIfound are never in the top 40 on any chart.
What are some of the best bands that I have never heard of? Post here with the name and the genre. I would love to hear your replies. |

I love anyhting rock/alternative/metal.

My gf's brother is the drummer. They just put out a CD called "Footwork" , It's a crazy mix of Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop and Alternative Rock. They have all the regular instruments along with a brass section, piano, and keyboard. |
I'm really into "Interpol" lately- they are very "joy division" like.

It's so crazy that The Libertines got so big. 6, 7 years ago my band was playing basement shows with them. They were awesome back then too.
