TheBat email client - anyone NOT loving it?

TheBat is getting a lot of good reviews but before I switch from my current shitty program, is there anything you don't like in TheBat?

Other mail client recommendations welcome as well. Looking for something that is rock solid, not so much for something feature rich

My favorite e-mail application is Mozilla Thunderbird.

Like the other products from Mozilla it is rock solid, feature rich, supports modules/plugins safely (extensions) and has a great user interface.

And of course - it's FREE!

I still use OE express. This because I have to reply many member emails with the same reply. In outlook I can do

Include txt from file--->select txt file password.txt for example, and voile email written--->send and done.

I did miss this feature in mozilla, so I swiched back..

I'm using the bat, have been for years. I hate reading html emails. No viruses either.

Anyone that deals with that amount of email from members who always seem to ask the same question needs TypeItIn. Small little macro utility that will not only type your emails for you, but will also fill in forms and work in any application. I couldn't live without it.
Type It In

You can do the same type of thing with Thunderbird.. just make up some templates.

.. but if OE express works for you, then there is no real reason to switch.

You can? Hmm never found it actually. Also I use IMAP, maybe that is/was the reason.

I use and recommend TheBat, but the included Bayesian spam filter is next to useless. I gather it's like a third-party amateur attempt, and is really not worth trying. Also, the default reply format is kinda goofy, but you can override that. Overall I like the program a lot...they got a lot of details right, including reasonably easy migration to new computers with your old mail and such, and good migration between versions. (Not something that happens very often, but it's nice that they take those things into consideratin). And most importantly, I've used it for years without it f*cking up all my mail with a corrupt database index or other catastrophic failure.
