How long does NetworkSolutions hold domains hostage?
 

I've looked at several domains that were registered through them and they seem to never let them become available until they want.

The one I'm looking at now "expires" on Jan 30, 2004 but you can't register it.

Status: REGISTRAR-HOLD

What is this? I just looked at the new registry data and it says it was updated today and the new expiration date is Jan 30, 2005.

About the 10th one I've found like this.

Oh yeah, tried to backorder at godaddy and it says "this domain is not available for backorder". What a crock of shit.......

If they have any value network solutions keeps them...

sounds like Zuccini's name

I just looked at the whois name and it is that Zuccarini guy. Are they holding them because of legal issues? I know I've registered some of his dropped names before and some of them dropped just today in fact.
