Domain with Trademark possability
I am looking to buy a domain that a company has a trademark for.
It is a generic two word name. I am going to use it for an adult site. Anyone have any sugestions on legal counsel to talk to. Spankstrocko |
Why would you want to enter that world of pain?

A site currently exists there but the owner has been letting it sit since he registered the domain.
I think the company got the trademark after his site was up not sure if that changes things? Spankstrocko |
it differs.
talk to a trademark lawyer |
The domain was registered in 2002. I am pretty sure that they got their TM in 2003 or even 2004
Anyone have any domain and trademark attorney referals? Spankstrocko |
Actually I just checked and the firm has the TM recorded on dec 2002 the domain was registered on june 2002.

Check www.uspto.gov for US registered trademarks.
Be careful though, very few companies will put up with a easily mistakable domain being a "porn site". |
