Does anyone really think the comments were even read? It is campaign time right now, people are on campaign vacation, and all that jazz. I do not see them checking ye ol laptop for our concerns out on the campaign trail.

tomorrow is deadline for commenting...then they read comments, and the earliest possible date to go into effect is sept 24th

Wrong - the comment period ends tomorrow. The DOJ will review the comments - then it will be 30 days from whenever the new 2257 regs are published in the Federal Register.

It does NOT go in effect tomorrow....commenting from industry experts and companies will be made to the government....and then another month for decisions and responds from judges....and in my opinion, it wont pass....they havent even read the old docs....i just think its BS and election time...a lot of other violations will take in effect if model releases and id of talent is distributed to everyone especially with porn stars being stalked and even murdered. Have the idiots thought of that?

yea, i got my days fucked up (knew the 23rd was for something with 2257, wasnt sure if that was commenting or not.....my bad.)

and i agree about the info being available to stalkers and etc.
