Id love it if sponsors listed what their top affiliates earn
I think more sponsors should do that, and it would get people more excited about promoting them.
Sometimes I look at a sponsor site and wonder how much money their top affiliates are making. If they said something like "Our top affiliate make $80k last month" id be more excited about promoting them. |
it's really no ones business
|
Lol, that's not a nice thign ot do to thier top affiliates.
|
hmm... no.

I dont know who someones #1 sponsor is, only that whoever that person is made $X |
|
how can you guys be against that?
I think it's a great way to get more affiliates who werent sure what the income potential could be if switching sponsors. ebay does it, they said one time that their top 12 sellers made over a million dollars one month. I thought it was a great, a good motivator so people can see what the potential is. |
At times this has been done , but obviously the top affiliates are other sponsors..
Good idea to have top 10 non-sponsor affiliates earnings. |

A program could put any # they wanted out there and unless the affiliate actually allowed it to be made public, there is no way to prove it. Most affiliates guard their earnings & marketing strategies fairly closely. I would..

well, i was 137th on the AEBN list this month. |
do you actually think you will get honest numbers.
If you want to see revenues and real numbers for a pill program hit me up and I will show you. |
the real numbers are profit, not just total sales. anybody can do high volume if they spend thousands on advertising. showing ratios is also irrelevant.. depends on too many factors.
|
The problem with posting how much your top affiliate makes is it will lead some TGP webmaster to bitch that he's being shaved because his 500 clicks from his latest gallery didn't bring in a sale....
this is why on those infomericals, they have disclaimers that results may vary.... |
BTW, results may vary.
tip o' the day |
You think any of them would tell the truth? Everyone would say its a ton. You think any program would say "our top affiliate makes $3k a month" lol but for a lot of affiliate programs thats true

I promote AEBN too and I have great results. the 137th thing was a joke. but I do have friends there:2 cents: |
Of course, doesn't matter if you'd like it, it's none of your fucking business what they earn.
|
With some you have webmaster rank wich is kinda cool
|
It's not HOW MUCH the big affiliates make that matters. The difference between somebody making $25,000/month with AFF and $1,000/month with BlahBlahCash is not the program or the sites promoted.
At the highest levels, you're talking about people with such talent and understanding they could make $50k/month from any "decently converting" program. What matters is return on unit of traffic sent. This will help all webmasters (big and small) to identify the best performing programs. j- |

I didnt bother to read the rest of this thread but...
No ... if you post your " top affilates " stats without giving away witch affilate it is ... how you even know to trust that ? shit why dont i just go add to my main page that my top affilate is taking home a 100k a week ? |

Return on traffic is what matters. Plus most top affiliates dont use just one program. |
The logic is to see what the potential return is on promoting a site.
I remember seeing a site where they said "Our top affiliates are making $300 /week" and I was like fuck that, im not promoting this site if that's the max i can make. |
