Why are so many Americans still pissed off at France? Because they were right? Saddam could have been left alone. They wanted no part of a fabricated war, then or now. Saddam had no WMD, and the idea that he would help Osama (who wanted Saddam out of power) is absurd. No Americans or French needed to die in Iraq. (yet they've been polite enough to not publically say "I told you so")

As a country France is doing so much better than the US will ever do. Just because they arent war hungry idiots like the Americans doesnt mean theres something wrong with them.

1) They sold weapons(e.g. Roland anti-tank missiles) to Saddam during the arms embargo.
2) Their UN vote/support was bought by Saddam for billions in oil contracts
3) They siphoned billions of dollars from the UN/ Iraq "Oil for Food" food program into French banks and into the pockets of French officials.
4)They promised support to Colin Powell in the UN, then stabbed him in the back.
5)They are unprincipled whores who will happily get on their knees for $$$$.

But in Europe this type of thinking is in the minority. In most of Europe most appear to think that if you coddle terrorist and try and bargain with them then you can achieve ?Peace in our time?. By showing so much weakness they have emboldened the terrorists to do more killing. They now see that through violence can they accomplish their goals of subjecting the world to terror for terror sakes. These terrorist are mindless, godless barbarians that must wiped off the face of the earth by an unyielding power that only freedom can possess. Until most in Europe agree with this they will be sheep being led to their death by their own coward Shepards.

What is most amazing is that this weak individual at the head of Spain now says he will stay in Iraq if the UN is in charge. The UN in charge? That blows my mind.
