*chuckles*
Think about this. If you have heartburn or even frequent heart burn how many grown men are actually going to get up and go to the doctor about it? Most people would not even think the doctor would say anything about it other than "Sorry, suck it up, do not eat so much spicy/acidic foods, please pay the receptionist on your way out, goodbye" With this in mind why NOT launch an add campaign that tells people "Hey your condition is considered serious by some people, your doctor has to give the ok on this go get it and feel better"
Never overlook the importance of "real world" business' need to have advertising, the larger the company the less word of mouth has actually been shown to work, if you are playing with millions and want to distribute on a large scale you have to get on TV and push it.
Never overlook the stupidity of the common man, people can be spitting up blood and not go see a doctor, the marketing is about letting people know something is available that is not commonly known of, telling people that they can buy something to change something in their life and of course making a profit, everything in business is not some evil ploy to trick and manipulate. Prescription medication is nothing like internet sold pills, way bigger business, way more checks and balances
