You don't seem to understand that the President of the United States does what is best for the USA, not Europe. If it's in the best interest of the US for the dollar to stay low the Kerry will do everything in his power to keep it low to increase exports.

i'm a realist. people here have said some stupid things regarding the dollar hoping it would go up. it hasn't and won't for a while, how long nobody knows.
if that's the case, just hedge the amount by trading F/X futures contracts...
so many people whine about the exchange rates on here, when all they need to do is go short or long (depending on their position) a single contract, then roll it over every 3 months... the commission to trade one contract is only $11... and the initial margin is about $2500... simple as that

actually, ask china. they're keeping their currency artificially low to keep their exports cheap. this is sending our trade balance all out of whack and is putting downward pressure on the dollar.
