The necklace is called "Planetary Valleys" and "Galactic Valleys". It was created by Bjorn Weckstrom for Lapponia Jewelry and was produce from 1969 til 1981.

Value is subjective. A true star wars collector would likely be willing to pay much more than, say... a Weckstrom collector. I have seen other newer lapponia necklaces for $2000 or so. I saw a similar ring (not exact) on a site for $250. Ultimately, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I know it's not worth a penny more than what someone is willing to pay for it, I (as a starwars freak) am not really willing to move it forwards. I just got the set for free yesterday and want to know a ballpark figure, is it $15 or $1500. :)
