.CN domains

China... growing market...
Do you think buying chinese porn domains might be a good idea considering their porn laws? :)

What do you think?

How are .cn domains used in the asian market? I did a quick search and found out that only a small handful of commercial sites use the .cn domains and that a large proportion of .cn registrations were educational or government-type organizations.

Not only that but many asian users don't know the proper word, let alone the spelling for most adult-related terms. Hence why many asian companies obtain a simple numbered domain-- Like www.8851.com, etc.

If you're assuming translated Mandarin into an English phonetic language for domain names-- That's a bad idea.

cn domains might be good for a big multinational company with some holdings in china yet the target audience is english

There's a good chance that .cn porn domains will get deleted soon. They just shut down almost all chinese porn websites and even scared website owners from HK.You know how they chinese government is like, if they want to do something they do it and war on porn is one of their top priorities atm, so I would be careful about buying .cn domains. :2 cents:

Well
Why is ask is because one of my guys bought the domain

blowjobs.cn

for me as he thought cn stands for canada lol
Now he has this site in his portfolio and I am not sure if i should even bother putting up a page on there.

They could soon run a big domain deletion (political and porn), that's what I think atm.Btw .ca is canada (no it's not cali :winkwink: )
