What the fuck is this shit - I just seen alice cooper on a commercial for school supplies....he's dead to me now.

I just see it as making money and possibly getting a new younger audience who never heard of him.

Isn't Alice Cooper supposed to be really smart? Maybe he realizes that it is good to promote education esspecially to his audience. Whether you are a "rocker" or not you still have to see the value of a good education.

Maybe I feel this way because I am a student ambassador at the college I attend

I thought that was hilarious! I saw it for the first time last night. Good for him! It's not like he's in a suit and tie telling kids to "say no to drugs." He's in his rock getup strolling through Staples. What could be funnier? :)

Selling your art to companies who use it in commercials doesn't change the quality of the music. I thought Zeppelin's Rock'n'Roll was a pretty good song 15 years, and I still think it's a good song even if it's used to sell Cadillacs today. Same thing for every classic song ever recorded.
