Holy shit.

If you didn't get a "VIP pass" (that's in quotes for a reason, I'll come back to that) you must've really got fucked.

"Luckily" me and my buddy got "VIP passes" and were able to get to the front of the line reasonably quickly...a quick footwear check and my roughed up Reeboks were good enough to get me in.

We quickly saw the boxing ring, knew there wasn't going to be a fight scheduled and eventually clued in that this where the action was going down.

We went up to the balcony level and got some seats, prime viewing area. Then some band came on (the lead singer despises the porn industry by the way)...the band didn't like the crowd, and I didn't see a really thrilled crowd either.

Four hours later...not one "erotica" moment yet.

$20 for 3 cokes...mmm...hot waitress I'll give it that much.

Then some guy pokes us in the back...looked like a bouncer guy with a walkie talkie...indicated that we'd have to clear the seats. Wow. VIP hanging from the neck, some plastic band on the wrists, and you get asked to leave.

Fine. Fuck you. New seats? Fuck that. For what? More shit? No.

Get outside the club, holy mother fuck...no way to get back to the Westin (organized way that is). Chewed up and spit out on the streets of Miami. FUCK ALL THE SPONSORS THAT FUCKED UP MY NIGHT.

I saw countless "VIP passes" thrown on the street...first thing I thought of was, fuck this would be perfect to throw on GFY...didn't have the digital camera on me though.

Then, some people from TopBucks (kick ass mother fucker best program ever made ever) had enough class to get us back to the Westin.

Special note: "It was big, we tried our best, blah blah" doesn't mean shit. Use your fucking heads and do the job right if you're going to take up one of my 4 nights at Internext.

If this is how they organize a party, how organized are their companies?

Threads like this suck for the sponsors.

I'm sure I'm not the first to write this...

But my therapist says it helps to get it out.

And I blame all of the sponsors...cuz none of them were there to meet us, or make sure we got back to our hotels safely. That's not how you treat people in your industry that you want to further a relationship with.

Some could not even get in man.

Umm I would not go so far as saying all.

Man, don't blame the sponsors. They just throw money at the shit for exposure. They're not obligated to make the party run smoothly. This shit rests entirely on Xbiz's head. Now, if all the various sponsors had actually been a part of the planning and whatnot, then sure, give 'em hell, but in this case they were not.

1st : It's not the sponsor's fault . It's helmy's and lisa's fault .

other than the build up and disappointment of erotica fest, the rest of the show was really good...they seem to be getting better and better every year which is a good sign for the industry.

i've organized some pretty lame parties myself...so it takes one to know one.

as far as starting another thread on this same topic...i could care less...whoever was responsible needs to get hammered on the boards so it doesn't happen again.

and whoever kush is, you're fucking hilarious buddy! : )
