MX Development Launches 2257 Tool
Found this quite interesting:
NEW YORK ? MXDevelopment has rolled out a new tool aimed at simplifying the complex record keeping process for models. The 2257 Register saves webmasters the time and effort of manually entering legally required detailed data regarding talent, MX?s President James McEnamin told XBiz. ?The idea for 2257 Register came to us from reading message boards and talking to webmasters,? McEnamin said. ?Everyone?s concerned with the new regulations proposed by the Department of Justice. Instead of going offshore or otherwise trying to get around them, we are offering webmasters compliance with 2257 regulations.? McEnamin went on to say, ?Instead of doing data entry all day, we are giving content providers our software at no charge.? Then webmasters who purchase 2257 Register enter a linking code, which is generated by content providers and is specific to those particular pictures being provided. ?Next, the fields webmasters would have had to enter by hand are automatically generated,? McEnamin said. MX installs 2257 Register on webmasters? servers and charges them a onetime fee of $120 for the tool. Content providers receive a $20 payout per webmaster they introduce 2257 Register to. ?Webmasters are updated automatically by just entering their linking code,? McEnamin said. He called 2257 Register ?completely unique.? The company's principal team have been doing business as MXDevelopment for a year, although the same core team has been together since 1999, McEnamin stated. The firm does network and tech support, plus hosting sales. Internet companies MX has done business with includes Private Voyeur and Reality Check Network. ?Engineers are the magicians who make everything happen,? McEnamin said. ?We?re serious geeks." |

Looks good, but it seems as though there is some manual work involved on the content provider's side.
I'm not too sure if they're up for it. |
We already have a server side script in place that will do this.
Upload the doc given to you by the provider as well as the content set and it will generate a list of urls each image is utilized on. Regards, Lee |
