Alexander Graham Bell was Canadian

Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone and co-inventor of the hydrofoil boat, was a Canadian. He was born in Scotland, but if the U.S. can claim Einstein and the atomic bomb, then Canada can claim Bell and the telephone, and his other inventions, such as the microphone..

Go here for a list of other things invented by Canadians that you probably thought were American. :thumbsup

It was a real surprise to me.

Edison did a lot.

Bought the patent for the lightbulb and made major improvements on it.

Actually invented the telephone BEFORE Alexander G. Bell, and did it better... but he kept tweaking it and got to the patent office 4 hours AFTER Bell.

Invented the Dynamo (electric generator) , electric cigar lighter for cars, electric streetcars;

And last but not least, THE MOVIE PROJECTOR!

American, Canadian, who cares? The were all of European stock, and in the end that's the key to the future of our civilization.

I know Tesla had been working on both those inventions, but hadnt gotten any patents on them.
