I'm looking for something cheap or free to cut up a large mpeg
any suggestions?

Ive seen ya on the other boards. Sorry I can not help with the mpeg issue as I do not use free programs.

There are some free ones but the quality is lacking, check download.com or get Cleaner, Adobe Premiere.

see I only have 1 video that I need to cut up so I don't want to spend a lot of money.

thanks i'll check out cleaner, i know anything with "Adobe" in the name is gonna be more then i want to spend. been on download.com most of the day...found one but it removed the sound :(
