Webmasterboxing... I need feedback
 

So after tough negotiations with the nevada athletic commission, there is no way I can do this in vegas:(

Nevada State law prohibits anything other than profesional sanctioned fights, unless no prize money is given away.

and after pursuing the thought of making it an amature fight and getting somewhat more relaxed rules, it still is not a good fit to hold it in nevada.

So we fully intend to make this a must attend event, and I am looking for comments on some of the details.

1.) list what state you would like to see it held in ( other than Nevada wise ass)

2.) and do you think we should hold it at a casino, or state that allows gambling in order to let bets be placed on the fights?

3.) do you think the Pheonix forum is a good show to hold it at, or would you rather see it anchor down a different show?

4.) do you think it is necassary to have it at a show, or should it be done somewhere like california one year, then New york the next year etc... and make it a stand alone event?


We are whole heartedly progressing forward with this, and would appreciate your genuine feedback.

I know some haters and assholes will come to the thread and offer bullshit, but we are not interested in your bullshit, we want your opinions, and thoughts as to the best way to make this event a great event for years to come, and allow many people in our industry a good release and great time.

And did i forget to mention hotels, food, drinks, whores, gays whatever is cheaper than the states :) even plane ticket.

I have to be honest, I think it's a good "idea" but that is about it.
The only way to make it work would be to have oversized gloves or something to add comedy.

- naw. Whatever can be put up as swag gifts or meager cash is enough. And whatever 'under the table betting' takes place is not your problem.

I think it's a nobel idea Joe, but you'd be hardpressed to find enough participants I think. I'm not sure how many of the shit talkers around here would be willing to step in a ring LOL...

Nope, Nevada has even outlawed celebrity boxing shows and shit, it has to be done all through the commission in Nevada.

but cali is OK florida is ok, arizona, how about in New orleans ( but no shows there) what do you think about santa monica, and at the GFY webmaster access show instead of seminars LOL

I think for the first year, you should affiliate it with a show...otherwise it might be hard to draw people to it :2 cents:

it would be great to have it at one of the shows i think, but i can't even understand that it is not possible to have a boxing event at a webmaster show without having any commissions or whatever involved. isn't a convention somehow private property? :glugglug

Yo what up Big Dog!! I love the idea I think you would be better off combining it with one of the bigger shows while it's in it's infint stage. Then when it gets bigger it can become a draw of it's own and you can hold it anywhere. It was great to meet you in Fl. Looking forward to Vegas.

Well you've looked into Louisiana obviously. We regularly have Fireman vs. Cops boxing which is always fun to go watch. I think its a great idea Joesho and sure to be a success. Good luck with it.

I don't think this would work as a standalone event, that's for sure. During a convention would be great and I vote for Phoenix Forum or next summer internext if Vegas is being strict about it.
