Looking for a pennywize replacement
 

Something is wrong with Pennywize today, its slowing down my sites big time today. I removed their scripts from my server and im fast once again. I'm guessing their server response time is slow.

I bought stopthathacker several months ago, i guess ill have that installed. But before i do that, are there anyother third party services like pennywize, that actually do a good job?

Or what other password / server attack protection scripts would you suggest?

As far as I know Strongbox by Ray of Webmastersguide is thee best out there..
I had it installed a few months ago and haven't looked back.

are having with pennywize.

It's not the response time that's bad, I think the Database needs vaccuming.

Quickdraw and Freeadultcontent are right,
Strongbox is a whole new approach that is WAY above and beyond
anything like Pennydumb.
Not only does it keep the hurlers from getting in, but it discourages
them from even continuing the attack and slowing your server.
It protects from hurlers (brute force attacks), password sites, and various
other evils.
Unlike PennyWize, Password Sentry, or other old fashioned approaches,

That, and the price is definitely right.
Several of the well know members of this board, TLA's, and
GFY use it on all of their pay sites and swear by it.
