My fucking laptop is fucking it up again with my fucking wireless shit. Fuck it, when I get back form my fucking vacation I will get someone professional to install that shit.

Have you installed SP2 yet? Before SP2, XP wasn't exactly wireless-ready. There are lots of functional and security based wireless improvements in SP2

ive got a wireless setup on winxp most machines with sp1, never have any probs with it.
